For the emergence part, it tells us a story about a compitation to weight an ox in their mind. The result shows that people who guess in groups get a very accurate and close answer. I think it tells us that people who works in group is more easy to have a better idea.
For the help pat, it tell us a story about some people who wants to quite cigarettes or cure alcoholism. The most interesting thing for me is their conflict in mind, it is hard to stop,but they also feel guilty if they keep doing this.
