Kristen posted photos of her tabloid two posts down, for reference!
The Pentad
It seems the demographic would be my generation, and perhaps those directly before and after mine. Generally, girls 12-40 have proven to show great interest in pop culture, and the whereabouts of various celebrities. Females with access and desire to read magazines, tabloids, and status updates would likely have an approving attitude about this text. Individuals who find themselves concerned with such information likely have a similar disposition in terms of perhaps priorities and ideals.
This text is absolutely culturally influenced, as the majority of source material came from pop culture. In addition, there is a social aspect applied as Kristin used her own status updates for additional source material.
In relation to the audience, this material is relatively closed. I suppose readers have the ability to ‘write to the editor’. However, it seems apparent that not only the source material, but also the output are directly targeted to an audience that is already predisposed to the subject matter, material, and medium. The physical setting is essentially hollywood. In the temporal setting, it seems clear society is doomed. (Joke. But really.)
This is an extremely current text. I think it is safe to say all source material is less than a year old.
think this is a really awesome way to compile the current, sometimes arguably important news and show that even if it is completely shuffled
Persona
I think this is a pretty good representation of, at the very least, the culture the creator is a part of. I think this is highly indicative of the social climate we, and Kristen are a part of, which is proven by the strangely relatable that is apparent within the shuffled headlines.
Interestingly enough, it seems like these headlines were edited or adjusted in a way that they can be interpreted fairly literally.
This text seems pretty definable as dramatic. I think it is safe to say most or all of these individuals live a life of performance, and altering the situations only makes them more ridiculous.
Great analysis Perri - can you add any figurative language you spotted, if any?
