Tuesday Ethnography Assignment

My topic was coral reef destruction. This has to do with the study of how coral reefs are being destroyed from environmental issues and human pressures. It is connected to global warming and humans are the ones who have to do something to stop coral reef destruction. My stance on coral reef destruction was that coral reefs are being destroyed and this will ruin the ocean structure. Humans are the main cause of coral reef destruction. Something has to be done to help stop coral reef destruction. It will only take small changes to stop global warming which would stop coral reef destruction.
A different perspective that could be seen on this stance would be, yes there is coral reef destruction but it is not from humans. It is something that happens naturally and we cannot control it. It’s the earth’s way of changing and evolving. We should not worry about losing species in the oceans because they will learn to adapt with the coral reefs as they change and may disappear.
I would change my media by not showing pictures of before and after pictures of coral reefs but pictures of how other species have evolved with their environment and are still alive today. The Swedish fish from my first performance I could still use. The Swedish fish would still relate to coral reefs and the different color Swedish fish could show how fish have changed with the coral reef destruction.
